I’m Tracy Sisk, LMHC and Ph.D. Candidate—
and a fellow swirl-walker in the making of a mental health professional.
Welcome — I am so glad you are here.
Right now, I’m deep in dissertation mode (snacks within arm’s reach), studying the tension we all feel—between who we are and who we’re becoming. My research explores the intersection of professional identity formation and our personal lives—especially our intimate relationships.
And I’m not doing it alone.
My dissertation chair and long-time advisor, Dr. Theopia Jackson, PhD, continues to walk this journey with me—her influence and insight are woven into this space in ways both seen and unseen.
Because let’s be honest: personal life doesn’t pause while you’re chasing licensure.
I’ve sat with clients through the hard stuff while navigating my own.
I’ve overthought my chart notes.
I’ve wrestled with supervision feedback and spiraled through imposter syndrome—
all while trying to remember what plans I have with friends.
